Over the last 8 or so years we have been expanding our bike riding to new and more challenging events. We started with Team in Training in 2003 that took us from fifteen-mile riders to metric century riders to hundred mile riders. With each passing year we scheduled more training and more challenging rides. What looked crazy one year looked like an exciting challenge the next. We graduated from flat afternoon rides to moderate climbing centuries, to multi-day rides and then to monster climbing rides.
So last year we started to think about our next adventure. We had heard of people riding across country and were intrigued by the prospect. So what started as a casual conversation has developed into reality. We are setting out on an adventure of a lifetime, cycling unsupported from coast to coast across the United States.
I just love your weblog! Very nice post! Still you can do many things to improve it.
Glad you like it, I know there are things that could be done to make it better, but I am trying to remember the focus is on the ride rather than the site. BTW, it’s suppose to be campy.
Hello, hope everything is going good so far. Steve, I want to see a picture of the roadtrip “haircut.”
Am waiting in anticipation for your next update! It is fun to follow your travels and see how far you’ve gone each day. What an adventure!! : – )
