1960’s vintage Korsar one design racing hull.
This little one design racing hull came to us with a number of defects from manufacturing. The worst was delamination of the entire hull vail (out layer of cloth). When we started our evaluation we noticed a single bubble that lead to us removing this layer mostly with our fingers, pulling large sections from the hull. This problem was on the deck as well, but to a more limited extent. Deck bracing also needed to be refit as well as rudder and hatch fabrication, re-rig both running and standing rigging. We also reconfigured the trailer to support the hull along the stringers instead of by the hull skin, a very bad idea for a light weight racing hull.
